2016 Nissan Titan Preview - Nissan of Lake Charles

Coming out late this year is the 2016 Nissan Titan. This all-new truck is going to redefine its segment with power and capabilities. It was designed in California, engineered in Michigan, tested in Arizona, built in Mississippi, and powered by Indiana and Tennessee factories, showing that Nissan built this pickup truck with America in mind.

One of the most exciting features on the upcoming 2016 Titan will be the all-new Cummins 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel. This engine will power the Titan XD, giving it the heavy-duty power it needs to get the job done, while also providing consumers with exceptional fuel efficiency, 310 horsepower, and 555 lb-ft of torque.

To make sure the new Titan XD can tow everything you need, Nissan built a gooseneck hitch right into the frame. In early testing, the Nissan Titan truck was able to tow more than five tons when equipped with the Cummins engine without breaking a sweat.

With all that power, the new Titan XD needed a new chassis to match. Nissan engineers took inspiration from the Nissan Commercial Vehicle chassis, creating something big, burly, and reinforced to handle the immense towing and payload potential of the Titan. In addition to a new engine and chassis, it will get a beefed-up suspension, heavy-duty brakes, an Aisin six-speed transmission, a new transfer case, a high-strength steel frame, and a new axle and differential.

The power and capabilities of the exterior are matched with high-class comfort in the interior. All the features are carefully put together to create a premium, spacious atmosphere with the latest in-car technology.

Keep your eyes peeled for even more updates on the 2016 Nissan Titan before it comes out later this year. I know we are excited to see the long anticipated 2016 Titan release here at Nissan of Lake Charles, are you?
